My first attempt at capturing the blurred light effect known as "Bokeh". On my iPhone 6 this was rather difficult to get the camera unfocused and take the picture at the right moment in that second. The subject of the photo is a Dodge Challenger on the highway at night.
On our first day of creating light photography, we weren't quite sure how light photography worked. However, as the week progressed we started to get the hang of creating more advanced and unique photographs.
For this project I was inspired by the film Exit Through the Gift shop to create a practice image of my face and one that displays a message. I usually think of graffiti when i think of cities, the side of trains and bridges. In Millis it’s somewhat seen here and there. Most of the graffiti in Millis is explicit and disturbing images and words. However, some of the graffiti under the bridge is fun to look at but is eventually ruined by paintings of unfortunate imagery. I consider street art and colorful graffiti art 100%. Obviously if i were a homeowner i wouldn’t want my house vandalized. If i did, i would do it myself. But on the side of buildings, sidewalks, a brick wall, trains, or any rundown building is fine. I’m also fine with tags like stickers or small words, things like that. I think graffiti and street art gives character and a mood to a certain place, and i don't think anything should happen to someone who's caught in the act.
The main point of Exit Through the Gift Shop is to prove a point that mystery will fuel peoples curiosity, for example OBEY. Shepard Fairey, who plastered his image of Andre the Giant and the word "OBEY" over almost every major city. I don’t think it matters if the movie was staged, it’s still a funny and inspiring movie. Me and another student walked throughout the school taking interesting perspective photos. The images were taken on an iPhone 6 camera.
